About the School

Welcome to Whitehill Primary School. We are a well-established school in the heart of Gravesend with a history of educating children for over 90 years. Our beautiful red-brick building and traditional facade encapsulates a school that is happy, helpful and hardworking. I strongly believe that all children deserve the best possible start in life, and by becoming resilient learners they will be on the first step to success. Over the last year we have invested heavily in our nursery and early years provision. We have developed brand new nursery facilities that can accommodate up to 80 children over 4 sessions and an outdoor learning environment that allows our children to make deep learning links. We take opportunities to enrich the curriculum through creative teaching methods and visits. We have set high expectations for all of our learners and these are closely monitored through teacher assessment and regular testing.

It is my belief that reading is the main key to success and we actively engage our learners with a number of strategies to ensure that they make rapid progress. I hope you find this website useful; if you require further information, please contact the school and we will be happy to help you.
